1 Day, 1 School, 1,000 Acts of Service!
Help us impact 1,000 people in 1 day.

On Friday March 23, the students at Covenant Life School of Gaithersburg, MD, will put their faith into action to serve their community.  One thousand community service projects will be completed in a single day.  Every student will participate, from pre-school through high school. All materials are provided by Covenant Life School and will be distributed by Maryland non-profits who serve those in need.
Servathon is also a fundraiser.  Proceeds raised will benefit both the school as well as the various non-profits distributing the hand-made goods.
“We have done 5K races and other student sponsorship initiatives in the past, as nearly every school does,” said elementary school Principal Bob Schickler.  “But asking others to sponsor students for this important service day seems like a far more meaningful undertaking than asking them to sponsor students for running or walking. People have been so generous! It’s a great way to make sure your charitable giving has a broad effect.”  Check out the "Service Projects" tab to the left, to find out more about our 1,000 projects and the non-profits with whom we are partnering.
